After one century growth, CEMEX becomes one of the largest cement producers in United States with 370 ready-mix plants, 50 distribution facilities, more than twelve cement plants, and more than 100 aggregate quarries. The beginning of CEMEX USA is in California. And after several years operate, it becomes the most popular cement company in the world. Now CEMEX USA was lead by Gilberto Perez.
CEMEX is a leader in innovation. It is proved by Wharton Infosys Business Transformation Award in 2004 because of efficient in Information Technology using. They also lead in Environment with using alternative fuel to reduce composition of carbon dioxide. And recent years it also develops dust abatement system to cut 80 % of emission. For additional information, CEMEX was honored from US Department of Energy to store and capture emission of carbon dioxide at one of CEMEX plant in United States. According with Cemex Air Quality observations, CEMEX will work together with RTI International and related companies to create a dry CO2 compression and sorbent system that can reduce one millions of CO2 from atmosphere.
